TX outsida 500 Hz bandwith
During an EMCOMM excercice one member was not decoded using Broadcast. When he transmitted the 500 Hz field in VaraHF was filled in the waterfall. However there was also a signal at around 800 Hz. I will try to enclose a photo. Does anyone have an idea of what could cause this phenomena. He did not have any microphone connected and he lowered the soundcard speaker level a lot so as not to overdrive, that did not help.
The foto was taken on a VaraHF for Winlink, so the limits for the bandwith is not shown as 500 Hz.

A sound recording may help could be over modulation which also leads to the scattering you see. Some sound devices has enabled ALC'/AGC and "Enhancements" that you need to disable at the sound device level
