Email gateway question
Today I checked in to VarAC Wednesday along with a CC to my personal email. I did not see the email come through until around 2 hours later, and it wasn't through the gateway station I originally connected to. Does VarAC on the receiving station realize that the internet is down, and automatically forward the email to another email gateway station when connected?

No. VarAC does not do that unless someone on the other side relayed manually your Vmail to another station. If you get confirmation of delivery right on the spot when sending the VMail (<ER> tag) than your VMail was sent to the internet right on the spot and from that moment VarAC has not contorl over this. it looks like this in yoru data stream (you can go to your QSO log and see the data transfer there)
