Hello,

i'm new to Vara and VarAC and i encountered a problem with it that i can't fix.

First of all, i run Windows 10 22H2 (3 months old installation), VaraHF 4.7.7 and VarAC 7.3 on an Icom IC-7400 with a microham usb interface 3. I also tried older versions of VarAC, same error there.

I just installed Vara, setup the soundcard, configured the Transceiver settings.

What works:

Cat commands work (there is a minor bug that i will explain later).

Clicking on "Tune" works.

Calling a station directly works.

Calling CQ, using the Beacon and Broadcasting does not work..

I tried to reinstall everything, went through the settings multiple times but it won't work.

I then installed all of that software on my 2nd pc which runs windows 7, used the same settings, transceiver and microham usb 3 interface and it DOES work.

I then copied the content of the "Vara command" window when calling cq on both pc's and pasted it into a text file.

Here is what happens in Windows 7 where it works normally:

And this is what happens on the Windows 10 pc:

No "pending, ptt on, ptt off" etc.

It won't transmit at all.

Similar things happen when i try to use Beacon or Broadcast.

But again, calling a station directly works, also the Tune button.

The minor setting up the Cat control problem is that the IC-7400 switches to RTTY instead of to USB-D.

The IC-7400 is the european version of the IC-746Pro, so i copied the line from the 746Pro cat command file and pasted it into the 7400 line and it works (after i saw that you fixed that bug already in the 746pro cat commands but not in the 7400)
