Best settings to REDUCE the constant polling on a link?
I've been experimenting with K1DOW and WD9DUI for awhile, trying to find settings that will drastically reduce the rapid polling of a active link. The default settings in OmniRig frequently result in timeouts and perhaps some lockups too (where Vara-HF just stops polling, and then disconnects after a period of inactivity).
Recently, K1DOW and I have been using a poll of 500 and a timeout of 4000, and this seems to help alot, especially during less-than-ideal conditions. K1DOW and WD9DUI (and me) are all using Ic-7300's.
Thoughts?
