Kenwood TS-2000 TX Audio
I am very new to VarAC!
Frequently my TS-2000 will not TX any audio with VarAC.
I see that I am transmitting but there is not signal. It seems to be only doing certain functions?
I have never noticed this problem with Winlink using VARA, only VarAC.
I have a TS-2000, Signalink USB and using CAT to PTT.
Any Ideas?

Open VARA (modem). Settings, Soundcard. Device Input should be, "Line (USB AUDIO CODEC)
Of course Device Output is "Speakers (USB AUDIO CODEC) I run a TS-2000, SignaLink with a HP Desktop.
I just noticed you post was a Year Old. Hope it was resolved and you didn't give up.
