Feature Request - beacon on a slot frequency
Currently, beaconing is paused when on a slot frequency. We tend to run EmComm nets using broadcast on a slot frequency. It would be useful to have the option to enable beacons on a slot frequency to keep track of who is on the net.
It might also be possible to just select a different frequency but we have had problems with the VarAC CAT functionality operating outside of the usual calling frequencies.

A calling frequency is something "amorphic". any freq you put in your dropdown menu (in the VarAC_frequencies.conf file) is a calling frequency.
So adding your desired frequency into there will effectively make it a CF and the slots around it will align accordingly.
Doing this will allow you to beacon on your new calling frequency.
