VarAC EmComm discussion forum

Currently, VarAC FM broadcasts (and presumably beacons and CQ's) do not work with digipeaters with an SSID. This is a significant limitation for any sort of EMCOMM use. It is unlikely there is a sufficient coverage area without using digipeaters. This has been an issue since at least December, 2022.

In my area (Anne Arundel County Maryland) we use VarAC HF for EMCOMM. With a good set of digipeaters already in place, we would also use VarAC FM, if all of the features worked.

Let me put in another request for prioritizing full digipeater functionality, particularly for EMCOMM. It seems to be a much more important feature than some of the recent bells and whistles.
