Map Broadcasters Location
Hi:
This will be more valuable for EMCOMM, add support for map libraries like:
http://tile.thunderforest.com/cycle/
The idea is to be able to see broadcast station localization. In a EMCOMM event, a first responder or Ham Radio support station could broadcast situation report and receiving station will be able to locate the emergency. More useful for local level.
Also, if doing a drill, stations sending broadcast could be plotted on map as well.

Indeed, having a map of monitored stations directly via RF, and a sufficiently granular map (street names, intersections, like OpenStreetMap) that is completely offline (after downloading zones or regions, of course), would be a very useful and relevant tool for on-site EMCOMM operations.
The idea is to have the VarAC stations visible, but also to be able to mark points of interest (contingency zones) on this map.
If the points of interest on my map can be transferred to the other VarAC stations in EMCOMM mode, everyone will be able to see the current contingency zones and their coordinates.
This is a hallmark of good EMCOMM software, and I believe VarAC truly deserves it.
I have looked for alternative ways to achieve this with external software, but that's not the right approach. I take this opportunity to congratulate the VarAC team for all the excellent work they have done so far.
