I'm operating two radios on one PC. One on HF and one on 2m. I have two requests.
1) To have multiple instances of VarAC on the same PC be able to advertise and accept email. They share the same databases.
2) To be able to adjust the self report on a 30 minute incriment, 30, 1 hr, 1.5hrs, etc. up to 4 hours.
I'm not sure if this a wish list item or a "dummy doesn't know how"
I am trying to establish a VarAC 2m FM presence in the Raleigh/Durham/Fayetteville North Carolina area. To accomplish this I have gotten VarAC Cluster up and running and I am centrally located between those cities.
I have noticed that in PSK Reporter my presence on a given band (mainly 2m) disappears after a while. I have looked at the manual and settings. It appears that VarAC only self reports at startup or a freq change.
This is an issue in that if someone looks at PSK reporter they don't see anyone in that area and just move on without attempting a connection.
Is there a way to select to self report periodically so that my 2m station (which I am leaving up 24/7) stays visible?

VarAC will report a new frequency 60 seconds after the QSY. And keep reporting that frequency every 4 hours.
In Settings-Alert Tags, is it possible to set/allow "incoming" (or "connected") as tag text? That would provide an "early warning" email of a possible connection. I have tried these but in vain. Also maybe any other text in the datastream to create an alarm email?

In general - your idea sounds interesting. I will add it to the roadmap.
Couple questions! First, will there be a time when the canned Welcome Message will allow other tags besides <LOC>, such as <MYDT>? I'm in the middle of the ocean and a lot of mainland operators forget about the time difference where I am when looking for me :)
Also, is it possible to alter connect texts that prompt about EMAIL and AI use? Specifically, I'd like to make it more obvious that the AI command is "AI:" and not just "AI". I've had soooo many ops try to use my AI without the colon, get frustrated when there's no response and disconnect!

To your first question - we will consider adding it.
to your seconds quesiton - When someone connect you, your station report them the available services with the "<S:EAB>" tag. each letter represent a serive you provide.

1 is already possible. usint the VarAC Cluster mode while assising one member as an email handler for both. 2. the 4 hours period was chosed as a compromise. there are limitations for self reporting. doing it too frequenct will be ignored on their end.
