TCI Transceiver control interface

Can we get TCI added for rig control

The Transceiver Control Interface (TCI) is a modern, network-based protocol designed to replace older serial port and audio cable control methods for radios, SDRs, and related equipment Github. It enables control, data transfer, and synchronization between a transceiver/receiver and other software or hardware devices such as contest loggers, digital mode software, skimmers, power amplifiers, antenna switches, and more.

Key Features

  • WebSocket over TCP: Uses a full-duplex WebSocket protocol running on top of TCP for server–client communication Github.

  • Cross-platform: Works on Windows, Linux, and macOS, with clients and servers on the same or different devices Github.

  • Extensible architecture: Supports both standard commands (analog of CAT) and custom device-specific commands, allowing manufacturers to add new functions while keeping legacy commands operational Github.

  • Device identifier: Maintains the original device model designation when switching to TCI Github.

  • Data types:

    • Text commands for control (frequency, mode, PTT, etc.)

    • Binary streams for IQ/audio data in digital modes

    • CW macro broadcasting, spot reception, and audio I/O Github+1.

It would be useful for radios like EESDR for example.
