Issue with VarAC Wednesday Vmail

I participated in VarAC Wednesday for the first time this past Wednesday, February 18th. I followed the instructions that are on the VarAC website about sending Vmail for VarAC Wednesday. But it wouldn't work. I was eventually able to send the Vmail, but I think there's either a bug, or maybe the instructions have to be updated?

I filled out the Vmail as instructed and checked to make sure it was in my Outbox. Once I confirmed that, I tried to connect with a station that was an Email Gateway (station with a black lightening bolt). I waited about a minute, but the station didn't accept. So, I disconnected.

I then noticed a station that popped up in the Broadcast box stating that his station email gateway was ready for VarAC Wednesday. I manually typed his call sign into the box above the "Connect" button and then clicked it. Once his station accepted, I received the Slot Window asking that I select a slot. Once I did that, and both of our stations moved to the slot, the Vmail in my Outbox wouldn't send automatically as the instructions stated that it should. This is what I had to do to send it:

I checked my mailbox by clicking the "Tools" drop down menu at the top of the screen. I checked my Outbox and I saw my Vmail was still there. I didn't see an option to manually send it from the Outbox. So I went back to the "Send Vmail" window and was about to rewrite the Vmail. But I noticed the "Canned Messages" drop down menu in the window. One of the choices there was the title of the Vmail that I used for the VarAC Wednesday email that was in my Outbox. I selected it, and it filled out all the information in the "Send Vmail" window. I then sent it. That's when I received the confirmation text messages in the "Datastream message" box.

I don't know if others have this problem or not. But I wanted you to be aware of it.

I have received a couple of reports from operators stating that their Outgoing VMAILs were not being automatically relayed. In cases where operators are away there is a pop-up that asks if want to leave a VMAIL. I click NO. I do not click do not show again. Are you seeing that pop-up on your station?

After the QSY and signal report are complete the station should tell you it provides relay service. There is another pop-up and you have around 9 second to make your selection. The following video shows the entire process. I will update our website under About to add a link to this video:
