Update check error on Linux

Hi,

I just happened to find that the following error was recorded in VarAC.log. I'm pretty sure that my internet connection was working well at this timestamp. Other than this, the app works fine. I'm using Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon with Wine version 10.0.

Please let me know if you need more information.

Hi Gene

I do not think its related to linux compativilt mode.. if you upgraded to V11.4 you can disable it as the microsoft bug was worked-around in that version.

regarding the messsage - it is possible that VArAC was not able to validate. there are many reasons for this such as issues on the location of the check-update repository.

The question is : is this consistent ? if not - you can ignore it.

If yes - enable debug mode to get more data on that error in the varAC.log file and share those with me

Thanks for your reply, Irad.

Visiting back the backed up log files, it "was" persistent. But once I upgraded to 11.4.0, I no longer observe the error. It may happen when the app finds a new version, but I'm not sure. Will keep eye on it, and revisit here with a debug mode log, if I see it again. Thanks! Gene - JI1BQW
