Hi: Idea is to be able to create and send a poll via RF to selected stations and//or Broadcasts a Poll. Could be very basic, but the idea is to be able to send a question and get answer via RF. Think in a disaster scenario, some examples: How many persons with injuries How many gasoline left Security personnel required Potable water available and so on... Hi: Suggestion is #1 To store Callsigns, band, utc and SNRs (for x days defined by VarAC user) and let the VarAC users make querys to understand his propagation. For example IF I want to know which stations I receive and I am received with a -.10 or stronger signal. #2 Second phase the #1 idea could be expanded to make the users decide if they want to send SNR, band, utc and callsigns to a central site for further analysis. Sending could be though Internet to not impact RF or crow bands. Hi: If a vmail is to be send at a future date being able to do so might be useful. Example future event, drill being able to write a reminder that will be sent at the right moment. Not sure it is worth the effort but just sharing the idea. 73' Edfel KP4AJ

Hi: Similar to emails, IF when sending a VMAIL message have to le identified as Urgent (EMCOMM Mode) a tiny Red Flag should identify it. Think this is self-explanatory. 73' Edfel KP4AJ

The idea is not mine, think it was when chatting with a fellow and regular VarAC user (not sure if was Jim) or John). Sometimes cel service or signal is degraded but a SMS could get out. Also in terms of INTEROPERABILITY, having a way to inter-connect with mobile could be helpful. Just as an example, JT Alert provides for user defined alerts and though a bat file which activate a simple powershell script (Windows) an alert is send using SMS (my case T-Mobile when a callsign I am interest is decoded). EMCOMM > a one way SMS capability could be valuable in an emergency. Particularly when Cel Phones networks are diminished or crowded (Hurricanes, Earthquakes, etc). Hi: This will be more valuable for EMCOMM, add support for map libraries like: http://tile.openstreetmap.de/ http://tile.thunderforest.com/cycle/ The idea is to be able to see broadcast station localization. In a EMCOMM event, a first responder or Ham Radio support station could broadcast situation report and receiving station will be able to locate the emergency. More useful for local level. Also, if doing a drill, stations sending broadcast could be plotted on map as well. 73' Edfel KP4AJ

Hi: Thanks for 9.1.0! When setting for some tests I noticed the radio was output about half of the 100w setting. I then verified settings and fixed the problem, now the 590SG output shows 100w. IMO, having a power output reading and displaying at VarAC could be helpful in assuring settings are correct. More ff we use several operating profiles and radios within one VarAC installation. The request is related with providing power output info into VarAC. Not sure how this could add overhead, impact VarAC performance or be complicated as there are bunch of different radios, etc. 73' Edfel KP4AJ

Hi: IMO message type functionality could be a plus. For example adding some checkmark to specify if a message is emcomm - related and to use preferably radiogram abbreviations like R (Routine), P (Priority), W (Welfare). or Emergency. Hi: Have detected flags at stations not sending beacons. Question is IF VarAC could allow a direct call to station not RX in Beacon or CQ? Some type of what in 6M we call 'blind calling". Hi: Here testing various instances HF and FM. Have noticed that multiple times PSk Reporter not showing current activity. For example, have two instances 6M FM (FTDX10) - Setup A, 10M (Kenwood 590SG) - Setup B, PSK Reporter not showing the 6M activity. Have been more than 1 hr active with both. Happen also with 2M, sometimes it get reported but not always. Well, my experience, Even self report is active on both so should reflect my own report. Hi: IMO in QSO with and time in larger text and maybe a color background could be useful. Background color could be set by user but for moment could be a universal attention color as yellow or similar. Larger time text could help old eyes! 73' Edfel KP4AJ

Hi: Not sure when the QSO will be logged. In my case some QSO's I observed no logging despite the AutoLog button is enabled. Someone please verify or clarify the intended functionality. I am manually using the Log button. 73' Edfel KP4AJ

Hi: The default is 6 hour - which I find too long. 30 Minutes you get most recent activity. But best is to allow user to set the time of the report. Maybe at PSK Setting 73' Edfel

Sometimes, you are doing several task at the same time you might be available for QSO but have limited time. Hope nobody get offended. The other party if you CQ or connect with you, will know you are available / looking for quick QSO as you have limited time. The label could be other text tou.. 'Limited Time' or whatever. IMO, this introduces an intermediate status beyond 'I am away'. Just a thought. 73' Edfel KP4AJ

Add capability to open links in BroadCast messages. FUnctionality to be set by VarAC operator in settings. So if someone don't want links to be able to open could setup to off or disable. I dont mean to automatically open links in broadcast only when user click mouse over it. 73' Edfel
