Hello VarAC authors,
it would be great to have VarAC for macOS as well. I see that VarAC is written in mono/.NET:
➜ VarAC_V5_1_8 file VarAC.exe
VarAC.exe: PE32 executable (GUI) Intel 80386 Mono/.Net assembly, for MS Windows
Have you tried to compile it with mono on macOS? Is there any principal obstacle to try to recompile it with Xamarin? As the matter of fact, that VarAC tends to become de facto one of the prefered ways for EmComm, it would be more than welcome to have it available on macOS/linux as well... Good luck and 73's de Pavol OM0WT
Yes I agree. I use Mac for everything but WINE etc is way beyond me
VarAC.exe is a 32bit application: /Users/<user>/.wine/drive_c/VarAC_V5_1_8/VarAC.exe: PE32 executable (GUI) Intel 80386 Mono/.Net assembly, for MS Windows
It's not possible to run such an application on wine64 on macOS Monterey (12.15.1). The 64-bit applications only can run on this version of macOS. And that's the showstopper.
@Pavol Calfa As stated below, you can use WINE to run both the VARA modem and the VarAC software.

do you have the modem working? I haven't tried yet but I have got the app to work in WINE ok minus some graphical issues
