I believe I have everything set up properly on my Windows 11 machine - I've got OminRig installed, VARA modem installed and running fine with Winlink, etc - but when I start up the application I get no UI at all. The VarAC process is running in Task Manager and consuming 30% of my CPU, but nothing starts up.
Any known bugs related to Win 11 or other things I can try to debug?
Anything in the varac.log file ?

I remember having similar issues. What worked for me was explicitly setting write permissions for the user which starts VarAC on the application folder. My assumption was VarAC tries to write something to disk without having proper permissions on the folder.

Folder permissions were in fact the problem. I had put it in my "Program Files" folder, and when I deleted that and installed 3.5 to a folder within My Documents, it runs just fine!

Can you please simulate it again and send me the VarAC.log for inspection. This will help me to see the error and address is so next time someone faces this problem they will get an informative message about it and how to resolve it and not just get a hanged process. than you !
@irad d I just tried reproducing it (unpacking again into Program Files and the running it) but because it couldn't create a log file I have no log file to share. I got the callsign prompt and then it froze and I had to kill it.
