When trying to change mode between Simple, Advanced, and EmComm, the dropdown list disappears so fast I have to try multiple times to change the mode. The dropdown list needs to stay open longer or until a choice is made.
I can't see what you are experiencing so hard to tell. I am not aware of such an issue. there is no limit to the dropdown time. Seems like something on you pc is grabbing the focus from the mouse.

try to do it when the app is not maximized. Sometimes when your mouse is closed to the edges of the screen there is another app that grabs mouse focus.
