I looked at the ADIF log in VarAC and my longest QSO was 47 minutes. The statistics show longest QSO by messages as 95 and as minutes as 1461.
Is there longest QSO reporting total minutes of QSOs -or- is it reporting the longest QSO of all?

Can we please get an update to VaraC to allow audio alerts to be routed to a specific sound card and not the Windows default sound output? Operators are not checking mapping and alerts are being broadcast on the air. When some sound cards are disconnected and reconnected the default Windows speaker is set to the sound card for the radio. When this happens audio alerts to default audio route to the radio and go out over the air. This can be fixed by allowing a VaraC user to soecifically set the output device for audio alerts. This would prevent audio alerts from routing to radio sound cards

The Maryland DC section runs a monthly exercise. We have been using VaraC to build operator skills for use and promoting the program for Emergency Communication. The monthly exercise involves target stations that run Vara modem with both VaraC and WINLINK (RMS Express) on both HF and 2M.
On 2M target stations run Vara FM P2P with WINLINK for several nights and then switch to Vara FM using VaraC. I tried connecting to a station this evening that turned out to be running WINLINK with Vara 2M. VaraC did not handle the input from the target station and crashed the Vara 2M modem client.
Submitting a bug report to request additional software for input parsing to gracefully handle input and not crash the Vara 2M modem.

Tested sending broadcast ALL messages using digi peat with VarAC (7.0.8) with Vara FM (4.2.8). Sending broadcast via digitpeaters using route VIA N3XL-10 and WM3M-10. Sending broadcast via W3AAC-11 (one hop) or W3AAC-11 W3AAC-10 (two hop) results in crashing Vara 2M modem. VarAC client shows binary characters in broadcast message and throws error message (see attached text files). de K3JSJ

The Adif development group added a mode called Dynamic and SUBMODES for Vara. Reference: http://adif.org.uk/313/ADIF_313.htm I reached out to ARRL LOTW asking when these will be added and they advised “Modes like Dynamic and its Submodes will be reviewed by the ARRL-LOTW committee in coming weeks for potential inclusion in TQSL to allow such QSOs to be uploaded to LOTW”

Noticed that this project requires users to complete a forum to be emailed a link to a ZIP file hosted in WiX (usrfiles.com). My anti-virus program is flagging the download link for VarAC. Is every user being given a different ZIP file for this application? Can VarAC please host the software on a reputable Site so anti-virus programs will not flag the ZIP file? Thanks!
