Newbie question: What's up with this VARA license? Do I need it with VarAC?

I purchased the license for VARA HF and have been using it for a couple years now. My wife has just upgraded to General so she can use more HF frequencies. She's interested in learning how to use Winlink/VARA HF so yesterday I walked her through how to use both. The only thing was that because she entered her call sign on Winlink as the sender VARA HF did not recognize the license and she had to use the demo version. It's only one copy of VARA HF on one computer and only being used on the same radio. How can she or can she use the full version that I paid for?
