Hi
I use “VarAC_cat_commands.ini” to change the receive bandwidth when starting and ending VarAC. However, I find it inconvenient that when moving bands, the bandwidth is not returned to its original state before moving to the new band and setting the bandwidth there.
I use FT-991A, and the situation is as follows. Incidentally, I mostly use 500Hz mode.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Before starting VarAC: 14.074MHz, BW3000Hz
Starting VarAC: 14.105MHz, BW600Hz
QSY to 30mb: 14.105MHz, BW600Hz // No change
10.133MHz, BW600Hz
Finished VarAC: 10.133MHz, BW3000Hz
14.105MHz, BW600Hz
---------------------------------------------------------------
The following content was added to “VarAC_cat_commands.ini”.
---------------------------------------------------------------
ModeUSB=MD02;NA01;IS0+0400;SH003;
#USB, Narrow, Shift+400Hz, Width600Hz
VarACStartCmd=MD02;NA00;IS0+0000;SH013;
#USB, Narrow, Shift+000Hz, Width2300Hz
VarACExitCmd=MD02;NA00;IS0+0000;SH020;
#USB, Wide, Shift+0Hz, Width3000Hz
----------------------------------------------------------------
I am using V12.0.0
Is there any way to resolve this issue at present?
If possible, I would appreciate it if dev team could make corrections to the program.
so that “When QSY, automatically execute the values at the finishing of the VarAC before changing bands.”
Thanks in advance.

There is a way to make it work it if you really want to:
Upon VarAC exit, simply move between all active bands, and set their BW... so your RIG will do a short trip in all relevant bands.
Seems like you already saw the use of VarACExitCmd. So simply make it longer with some more commands in between to "walk through" all the bands upon exit.
VarAC will not remember your current state in each band. actually it does not read it at all. it just set what is needed for it work. But you do have a way to achieve this as I described.
Let us know how it went. 73s!
