Asking for a friend: I got my VarAC updated to 11.0.7 several weeks ago with no issues. Last night, a friend was making successful links with version 10.x.x. When he tried upgrading, he now gets this error:

His setup: Win 11, IC-7300. His com port and settings are confirmed to be correct. He can PTT test on and off, but there is no frequency control, whether using the drop down list, or even trying to change slots, he always gets this error.
I had him uninstall the software and reinstall, but the same happens.
Note that I was trying to help him over the phone, and even facetime, which is where I got the pic from.
Any ideas where to look next? I know it says set one under settings, but where is eluding us.

you have provided very little data as well as partial screenshot but it is most certain he lost his configuration as he did not upgrade but installed a new version in another directory so he start VarAC from scratch. He know have 2 VarAC installs so my advice it to find the previous installed directory and run the installer while point to this directory (should happen by default if he used the installer in the first place)
