Multiple hop relay?

I gave a presentation about VarAC at my radio club yesterday and got a question I couldn't answer regarding the relay capability: is there a mechanism to execute a multiple hop relay? For example, station A, who hears station B, wants to send a message to station D, who hears station C, and B and C hear each other.

Hi Rebecca. Thank you for sharing.

It is possible but not in automated manner as VarAC does not how to pick the best route.

but if a message is parked at B, B can connect to C and park it there by connecting, and right clicking the VMail in the parking forlder and select "relay now through connected station".

Now the message is parked at C and once D beacons they will get a relay notifications.

But there is a manual relay happening in the process.

Oh... that is an excellent way of thinking. I now think to pass my forever-parking VMails to one of the more active/visible gateways out there... to turn it to their problem HIHI!
