Update found the issue in the trouble shooting section of the forum. I had the wrong version of VARA HF.
I am also having an issue with the 991a transmitting. I am running omnirig 1.20 (just updated today from 1.18) and when I set it up the test transmit works fine. It controls my frequency but if I try to call cq or beacon the vara-hf stream says wrong and nothing transmits. I have double checked all my settings and can't seem to find the issue. I have attached snips of what I'm seeing any help would be appreciated.

The issue on the FB post was resolved. He was using a not-supported OmniRig version. VarAC support (for now) the official OmniRig version 1.19 or 1.20. Is this the same case on your end ?
Hmmmm, VOX should have bearing on this. So how about some screenshots?
I fired up winlink and checked my email so the same computer it's working fine with VARA HF.
