Frequency always shows busy on all bands I get a busy indication on all frequencies all of the time. What could be the causes of this?

I was able to resolve my issue with The IC7300 always showing busy. I had inadvertently set the notch filter to on, and when I turned it off, the full on "busy" worked normally. Problem solved!

Gary, the radio definelly showed 14.105 and is tracking VarAC. I do see the difference! Others posted about similar experiences and after upgrading software, the issue was resolved. I will do that in the next day or so and see if that resolves it.

My waterfall was stone quiet except for noise (I was on a NON-FT8 freq. Updating to VarAC 11.2 from my .07 version fixed the busy all the time problem. I could have the audio at any level above yellow zone and it showed busy even with no tones audible/visible only snow on the waterfall.

SOLVED: I updated to varACV11.2.0 and the busy problem is fixed.

mine does the same thing. shows busy all the time unless you have zero audio coming in. It started happening after the latest update.

Could many many things but help us help you, please send a screenshot of your VARA HF screen.
