Can't control Freq from VarAC to FTDX-10

So far loving VarAC and been on less than a week. Can't seem to get VarAC to control frequency changes on the FTDX-10. CAT control list was updated, no joy. All other application such as HRD and WSJTX work fine. I'd like to have that auto freq control from calling frequecy to a slot and back agian.

Good update. I downloaded Omni Rig and set it up IAW with the VarAC HF manual, changing RTS/DTR to High. Freq change good now. See attached pic for new settings. I had to keep PTT to DTS/DTR otherwise no PTT. I'd still like to figure out how to make default CAT work without another plugin like OmniRig.

No combanation of using CAT for PTT and Freq CTRL works even wth DTR/DTS in High.

Only good config (attached pic) that gives me reliable PTT and Freq CTRL. I'm using a USB to the rig and don't have this issue with HRD, Winlink Exp, or WSJTX...weird.

One more thing to try as this is making zero sense, go back to CAT for PTT and Freq BUT set the radio type to FT-991A

Thanks so for for all the suggestions. I tried everyting posted. Same result. I can't auto control the frequency from VarAC. For some reason not all of the of CAT commands are getting there. The onlhy thing I can't do is control the frequency. If I take out of DTR/DTS for PTT it won't key no matter what I try. I've tried every setting I can for Freq control. I don't understand why this is the only application that has this issue with my FTDX-10.

Is COM4 the correct Comport, Yaesu installs 2, did you pick the right one? have you tried setting the DTR and RTS to H? Any reason you are using DTR/RTS keying vs CAT??

Yes switch both to CAT and also try DTR and RTS to H as the 2nd test if the first doesnt work.

The pic was in my first post.

I just tried shifting all to CAT in the settings and no joy and no PTT. For me using USB my com 3 is PTT and com 4 data...CAT should be going across it correct? I'm having no issues with any other app. I downloaded the CAT commands update and also tried OmiRig...can still communicate from the GUI but no freq control.
