Please reconsider allowing <name>, <qth> (etc) in welcome message.

I'm disappointed to see that the name, QTH, and loc tags are now forbidden in the welcome message.

I think there is a real benefit for having this short amount of info sent automatically when a station connects, so the log is automatically populated.

What happens quite often that when you connect a person you already know, you waste a lot of time sending this data which is not needed. The standard flow of a QSO is exchanging INFO when needed with new callsigns. not always... We do think that the <LOC> tag is an exception so we'll allow this on the next version.

Is it possible to set a flag in the program so that thesr tags would not be sent if the station was already logged, but WOULD be sent if the station was not in the log ?

It is certainly doable but I dont think it will be easy for people to understand. UX should be predictable in a way. not knowing exatcly why sometimes your tags are ignored and sometimes not is not a good user experuance in my opinion.
