I have a FT-847 and have the same issue. I need the option to have Omni-Rig control the frequency via one comm port and VarAc to control the PTT via DTR/RTS on a different comm port. I would be happy to be a beta tester!

Help is coming. next verion will allow you to split controls... freq with omnirig and PTT with RTS/DTR... but also will include frequency cat control. so you might get rid of omnirig. in 1-2 weeks supposed to be out. stay tuned.

Hello,

I was publishing to ask to this possibility but you already did it. Here too my IC-718 can't on the PTT from omnirig, I have to seperate both com port one for PTT and the other for frequency management.

I do this in WSJT-X.

Hi, this is my configuration on WSJT-X with FT-847 and SCU-17, so i need two com, one for data and other for PTT. I'v fund many other people with same problem on fq and unfortunally omni-rig dont solve. Thanks for your job Irad!

Hi Irad, I have tested the RTS/DTR and works great, but I think it could be more useful if it could be selected as PTT option without disabling Omnirig CAT. In other words OmniRig should be active for CAT if the rig can be remotely controlled, but at the same time user could choose between PTT with CAT command or PTT with another method (RTS/DTR) and using the same COM port for both CAT (frequency) and PTT (RTS/DTR) or two different COM ports, e.g COM1: CAT Omnirig, COM2: RTS ptt.

First, I want to express my gratitude for this amazing software. As the owner, like many others, of a not-so-fancy radio, I kindly request a PTT VOX option. For those of us who use Signalink, Digimode-3, etc. it will be a much appreciated option.

Hi @Antoine NP3AD . what do you mean by PTT VOX ? isn't it a given fact that all transceivers out there provide with VOX based PTT ? I believe I did not understand your ask.

Thanks for your prompt response. It my fault... I didn't notice that I wasn't using the lates version of Vara HF or Vara FM. It is working now without CAT control.

After V2.6 is out I will queue this for the upcoming version.

Are you willing to be a beta tester for this feature ? I don't have a way to simulate so I'll have to code blind and send you a tool to test.
