I just updated from v3.5 to v3.6.5 by copying the VARAC.EXE file to the C:\VARAC folder.
I went to the settings page Rig Control and VARA Configurations, did not make any changes, and then clicked SAVE & EXIT. I got the following error pop-up:
Incoming file misconfiguration
VarAC does not have WRITE permission to the ADIF directory C:/VARAC
(The forum is not letting me upload images to the group)
The V3.6.6 is working out...thanks.
Bug fixed with V3.6.6. Thank you all for bringing this up !
Installation of the beta ACL seems to have gotten it working. Need more contacts to be sure.
Thanks go to "everyone"......now V3.6.5 up and running...went to parade rest and re-installed as directed....
The integration with ACL works fine for me.
[The only difference I see in the log is that VarAC puts “10W” in the power field, whereas every other program (including ACL itself) puts just “10” there. The mode is listed as FT8, I’m guessing because “VARA” is not a standard mode… yet. <<<==== This is not correct. Please ignore!]
Yes, it works when run as administrator.
Guys - try this please and let me know:
Try to run VarAC as administrator and let me know if it works (right click the VarAC.exe file and chose "run as administrator")
Uploaded screenshot of "error" ....VarAC does not have WRITE permissions...
I have the same issue including not being able to attach a snip file image.
