I've found that when connecting to a remote VARA FM instance, I get a popup that states VARA 4.8.7 is required. This seems to be an issue since 9.2 came out.

After going back and forth between 8.6.2 and 9.2.3, it's now working.
Did you change the VARA MODEM type under the settings ?
