VARAc and auto tuner

Advice please.

I have a Yaesu FT857d and an FT897.

Along with a Yaesu SKU17 interface.

Both of them do not have sufficient connections for the interface and my MAT Y200 tuner.

If I use CAT control I cannot use my tuner so I am worried about SWR issues with my end fed half wave antenna.

Can I use VARAC without CAT control.

Can anyone offer me some advice please.

Unfortunate there is not a seperate CAT connector on those radios. But yes you can use VarAC without CAT, but you will be limited a lot.
