I need advice o how to stop multiple versions of the program being generated.. Have installed latest software but still had a rogue version trying to take over.. Seems to be self generating.

GM Irad. Many tnx to your Good Self and our fellow OPs who have responded.
I have managed to take screen shots as H/W and you will see that my VARA entry matches yours. In fact, it has always done so. I just also tried entering your text in the 'optional' box
but it rejects this saying it cannot find the VARA-HF/FM exe file.
Irad, once I get in the doom loop of inoperative dups, the only solution is to close the program, go thru the entire PC to delete every VARA file ( it will NOT Uninstall) and then restart in order to be sure it is clean.
I have done multiple reinstallations now and all have your correct address in VARA.
I may add, that this problem is not present in my Digipan nor in the FT8 thing..both of which are very stable.
VarAC is such a delightful program and is my answer to failing faculties BUT I am spending more time on the PC than on the air!
DX is up again after the storm and I urgently need to be told which box to tick or untick....HI!
I await your wisdom with bated breath.....
