This should be a VERY simple thing to do, but it isn't. How do I move the red lines in the screen shot to the left so that Vara can capture the signal and not read busy 24-7. I have a Yaesu 891a A handy feature for Vara (really an indispensable one) would be the ability to grab the redlines and slide them over with the mouse.

Check your filter settings, that area left of the capture area is not a signal.
It's the bandwidth of your USB filter.
