YEASU FTM-400-XD USING VARA FM AND VARAAC

USING A YEASU FTM-400-XD 2M/70CM RADIO WITH VARA FM AND VARAAC, IS IT POSSIBLE TO SEND DIGITAL MESSAGE? I AM HAVING TROUBLE FIGURING THIS OUT? I HAVE THE RADIO TO COMPUTER INTERFACE, THE YEASU PROGRAMMING SOFTWARE FOR THE RADIO, COMPUTER IS USING WINDOWS 11. I ALSO HAVE WINLINK EXPRESS. MY CALL SIGN IS N0SLJ AND I WANT TO SEND DIGITAL MESSAGES STATION TO STATION USING THE RADIO'S AND VARAAC.

The FTM-400 does not support digital modes like VARA or Packet natively. You will need an external sound card like a SignalLink or RigBlaster along with the proper cabling to make it work.

He did say he had the "RADIO TO COMPUTER INTERFACE" so I was assuming he had it covered. having the interfaces goes without saying.

The FTM400 comes with a USB to radio interface cable but it is not for digital modes. It is for programming memories or Wires-X. He will still need an external sound interface. I didn't assume he had one.

OK, then I am lost as to what the OP is trying to say. I thought he said he "had" the interface. If that is not the case then you must have one such as a DRA https://www.masterscommunications.com/products/radio-adapter/dra/dra-description.html pretty simple. Guess the OP was not really clear what he has to work with.
