ft450 problems

anyone else have problems with ft450 cat control switching to lsb-data while in tx. then switching back to usb-data for rx?

Not a split mode issue. Radio stays in vfo-a while transmiting and receiving. Its seems to be an issue with the program commands/codes that are sent to the radio. Omnirig and cat control

both cause the issue. have never had this issue with any other radio program and this radio

You should have mentioned OmniRig :) I have no control of how OmniRig is doing what its doing.

Did you try a direct CAT control of VarAC to your RIG ? maybe FLRIG ?

I will retype the same info…. Omnirig AND CAT CONTROL both have the same issue. The issue seems to be with the ptt signal through cat control…. It even has the problem without frequency control enabled

When using VarAC CAT control - for FT-450, the CAT command is as simple as: "TX1;".

No other mode commands are involved in this.

It must be something else on your end that causes this.

Also try FLRIG just in case.

Sounds like a SPLIT operation of some sort configured on your rig.

VarAC does not change mode during a PTT call. Mode is only being set when changing a frequency
