    GUI font errors

    in Bug reports

    Hello All and Irad,

I am running VarAC 5.1.8 and there are some GUI font errors. The same thing was happening with version 5.0.2. I guess VarAC uses mij built-in windows font which produces incorrect characters for arrows and such:

This happens with windows 7 64 bit Dutch version. Maybe you can embed the correct fonttype into the executable and use that Irad?

    Thank you and Cheers,

    Jan PH3J.

    Hi Irad,

replaced the exe with your test version and it is perfectly fine now for Windows 7, thank you! It is the same as your posted image below.

    Cheers, Jan PH3J.

    Hi Jan.

VarAC does not officially support Windows 7. However, I will make an effort to solve this:

The issue you see is due to the fact that windows 7 does not support most modern EMOJI icons.

To address this issue - I have replaced those icons with standard ASCII characters if VarAC identified a Windows 7 OS.

Please send me an email and I will send you a test version.
