Good morning, Irod. I am using VarAC version 8.6.2 and using User Manual for Version 8.6.2 dated 17 Feb 2024. The problem is that i cannot clear entries from the log entries. "Auto log QSO" is unchecked, yet the "CLR" button is not to be seen. Even when I click "Auto log QSO" on, the "CLR" button does not appear. Looking at the manual at the bottom of page 64 and the top of page 65, the images clearly show the "CLR" button. Am I overlooking something? Due to computer problems I just reinstalled VarAC after about two years. I love what you've done with the place! Ciao for niao... Savi W1SAV

This is something I should have reported from previous versions. When your program initiates pop-up notifications, they often do not appear over the main application window. The problem with multiple monitors is that they can pop up where not expected. Is it possible to have all pop-ups appear over the main application window? It would be simple enough for the user to close them or move them out of the way. In this way, they can be easily found without searching on additional monitors. Great job on the new release, Irod! The first time I used the new release I had a QSO that lasted over an hour. The QSO started at 17:46:23 and ended at 19:05:04, well over an hour. However, the summary report stated the QSO was 18:39 long, when in fact it was 1:18:41. The 2-second difference is not a big deal, although it does not match up with the reported times on the display. What is a concern is that the hour portion does not show up. If you want to precisely find the QSO, it was held with KC0QNB on the 21st of November. Thank you again for such a great program. 73 de Savi W1SAV

Good morning, Irad. The standard CQ message is really an all-call. I've not found this feature if it exists, nor have I found it in the forums. My suggestion is for a modifiable CQ call such as CQ DX, CQ Europe, CQ AF, CQ Montana, etc. Because of the nature of VarAC, a more descriptive target could be used to eliminate confusion, as in CQ CO--is it Colorado or the state of Coahuila in Mexico, they both use the same state abbreviation. Good morning, Irad. This request looks to standardize the color theme while transmitting and receiving. I would like to draw your attention to the Message and File progress bars. Issue #1 - Both bars are colored green while transmitting and receiving, showing their progress. Suggestion - Any transmission made should be in red. This will match the TX and RX buttons in the upper right of the screen. I believe it will also match the general color scheme showing TX/RX as Green/Red. Issue #2 - All transmission activities, transmissions and receptions, show the progress bar running from right to left. Suggestion - Accepting the color theme, could the receive progress bars be reversed? This would show thematically that transmissions go one way and receptions flow the opposite way. After disconnecting from a QSO, can you clear the messages currently in the queue? I find this helpful after a disconnect due to QRM, QSB, or other reasons. In this manner, a quickly established connection with a new station does not get the remnants of the previous QSO inadvertently. Thank you, Irad for your consideration.

Hello again, Irad. Since the last one was so easy I am going to push my luck. When logging a QSO, can you also log the current power setting of the rig?

In the Last Heard Beacons and Last Heard CQ Calls boxes, would you make it so we could sort on any column? In this manner, for example, we could sort on the SNR column and see our best chances of making a contact. This would allow greater flexibility for the operator to analyze his operating condition.
