Hi Irad, I have Varac V7.1.4 installed in C\Varac HF folder by unzipping there, not in Program files using an installer. (Other Varac instances are installed in C\Varac SAT and C\VARAC FM. My question regarding update is, should I just manually delete those folders? (the Unistall.exe does not exist in the distribution V7.1.4). Then, after a clean installation in similar empty folders to replace configuration files by their backups?

Helllo Gary, thanks for your reply. As I wrote, a clean installation will not keep the existing setups. I have checked Irad's instructions about how to reistall without loosing setups but I see an issue regarding cleaning Varac by using "uninstall.exe". Such a file does not exist in my Varac folder!

Hello Irad, unfortunately the new set of CAT commands to IC-821H does not work. I only have PTT (RTS) working, (that sometimes can't access the USB port but it's OK). More issues I notice are the following: 1. After selecting the varAC icon, the HF modem will always start, no matter if the SAT modem is set to active through Profile menu. This leads to a warning that 2 modems are active from the same folder. OK, I turn off HF modem manually. 2. To test CAT commands to IC-821H through Settings I need a valid VHF frequency to be selected which is not included in the list, I see only HF frequencies. I can only temporarily write something like 144.174000 in that field that I am not certain if it is accepted. In the main program's freq list I did save a VHF frequency. The IC-821H on this installation is making FT-8 on the QO-100 without problems ruling out hardware and PC issues.

Hello Irad, thanks for your reply. My IC-821H was already connected to this PC and is performing FT-8 on QO-100 so PTT is indeed controlled by RTS/DTR. To check CAT I must first finish the multiple profiles setup, so I will be back with results. My IC-728 HF is working fine in VARA_HF after adding it's extra CAT commands in the main .ini file. I downloaded these from the forum, as were not included in the latest CAT file that is updated through the program. 73's, Adam SV1CDU.
