Since 3 slots fit in a 2.7khz passband, is it technologically possible to have 3 VARA HF instances running to operate on any of those 3 slots? slot +1 could be for Vmail transfer so stations without CAT could still have slots to choose from Thanks for all the hard work, VARAC is probably the coolest new DIGI mode in a while

I dont know if it is technically possibly, but i can see 3 slots fully in the passband of the VARA modem, could VARAC run 3 modems and have essentially 3 QRG? one for beacons/CQ, one for broadcasts, one for pings. I dont see why it couldnt decode all at once and then send data to the appropriate modem

That would be a fantastic feature! And would add some extra utility to beacons, You could set a minimum S/N level as well so it would only connect if the path was good enough to exchange the Vmail in under 60 seconds
