Seems to be a new issue with 5.1.8 (as least had it not before). In a longer chat nothing is transmitted any more. Both sites are signalling busy ( and do not send). For varaHF Softmodem frequency is free. Had this issue yesterday, and also today. In both cases the partner was also using varAC 5.1.8 - with same situation (nothing sending, signalling of busy). 73 de Roland DK4RH

I using IC-7300 with Omnirig, varAC v 502. When I change the band toe TRX change it, but is going directly to the band before. My impression: varAC send the new frequency, read directly the current frequency (which is not already changed) and send again - but the old frequency. So the TRX is changing for some milli-secounds the band and is going back. Think if there would be after sending the new frequency to make a pause (think a half secound will be enough) before reading again. Sometimes the change works, sometime not. The problem is only given by band change. Not by frequency-slot change (n*750 Hz). Afterwards... Just seen this is happened if I do a CQ-Call, wait 2-3 minutes for answer (watchdoc is still running) and want to change the band. Means not a timer issue... 73 de Roland DK4RH
