Signal reports?

I looked in the manual and watched YouTube, but maybe I missed this. What are A & B versus C & D? C & D don't seem to change during a QSO - was the band that stable? Is is correct that an SNR or -10 is the minimum for a reasonable path? TIA!

C and D are the first reports exhcnaged upon connection.

Along the QSO, stattion exchange additional reports, but the report thatis being automatically logged is the first report upon connection.\

Scroll up the chat and see that.

Thanks for the explanation which fits the QSO initial stage well. I was calling CQ with antenna pointed to Europe. WU6X answered from a bearing of 270 degrees - exactly off the side of the 3 el yagi at 12M. I promptly realigned the yagi towards him.
