pinpoint, and how broken it looks like on my end

i see no valid calls in the to line, sometimes i dont see valid sender call - and always i see garbage in the message. Am i the only one whom sees this on rx side? and, should we even be doing this this? 73, timo

pinpoint and VarAC are not transmitting the same AX25 packet structure. its not compatible. do not expect to decode APRS packets in VarAC.

i dont expect it to, and i dont use that software - but unfortunatelky other people do - and now i have garbled characters in my broadcast window, instead anything useful. My screen garbage is now standard, and there is nothing i can do about it despite going QRT This is what i see every day ... dont get me wrong irad, i am not reporting this as a varac bug - i dont blame you - i just want to find out why are people doing this am i the only one negatively affected by it, is there something i can try before i go QRT for good on varac 73, timo

Have you upgraded your VARA to the latest version as I instructed in all channels ?

Jose EA5HVK made a change to the AX25 format and an upgrade to the latest version is required.

What VARA version are you currently running ?
