Hi, Confirmed by at least 3 other stations. The VARA HF modem does not show the -r & -t call sign IDs. For my station I did send a broadcast, I have the -T showing. There is no SNR showing.
I wish to reword my explanation. I gave the wrong impression of what the problem is. It is not about SSIDs. When VARA HF starts when starting VarAC, the title bar has the following. The station call sign (W4RJG), and followed by AX.25 related call signs with special suffixes (W4RJG-R W4RJG-T). My and one other station in my group was missing the -R item in the title bar, another station was missing -T.
I trust that makes clear what the problem is. It does then affect the actual AX.25 protocol. In my case I could transmit a beacon, but had no reception. The VARA interface worked great, as usual.
-R was never in use. It was an experimental thing for a new feature that I abandond. The -T is there only if u accept incomming pings. If u disabled it under VarAC settings you will not see -T. Receiving a broadcast has nothing to do with those things.
Irad,
Thank you for the explanation.

Thank you for the time looking into this.

VarAC working with VaraHF does not support SSID by definiton.
Only with VARA-FM.
SSIDs are used internally by VarAC for Slots, Pings, Beacons etc (-9 is beacon, -T is Ping etc...)
