Thank you, you made it very clear to me now: I was confused because VarAC and not me was logging a contact established through a beaconing station as a “QSO” (perhaps I have a wrong setting and it shouldn't have logged a connection as a QSO).
I also was confused of the ongoing VMail Notifications of a particular stations through a beaconing signal. I have sent off some Vmails, but If that particular station is only beaconing and not really connecting with me, the Vmail Notification will be ongoing. If I have Vmails sitting in the Outbox I must either connect or be connected otherwise this Vmail will not go out unless you wait until a CQ call of that particular Station will lead to a connection whereby the Mail can then be collected. So my understanding of a the beaconing Concept at VarAC was more than just helping to understand if your signal is getting out or not.
