sorry if this is a newbie question but i can't find it in the manual or searching this forum. maybe i don't have a fundamental understanding of vmail. i understand it's not a mail server. but when i get a message from someone, i see an alert to remind me to pick it up. so why are there 9 messages in my outbox in the last 3+ weeks? is it something i'm doing wrong? are others not picking up their mail? thanks very much, tom wa2uvc

i'm still struggling with the same issue i posted about earlier. someone said that i should post from time to time if it's not solved because there are new members and new thoughts. basically, the configurations have been well vetted, yet rig control doesn't work. i'm using an enhanced com port which is the same as my well working wsjt sw for ft8. i want to thank those who offered suggestions and gave me time. but i'm up against a brick wall and i'm reluctant to quit as i really want to use varac for chat qso's. thanks for any further thoughts or suggestions tom wa2uvc

i have wsjtx running well on my dx10 using virtual comm port 5. i am trying to setup varac. i have it all properly configured i believe, with comm port 5, but when i go to test the sound card, or test PTT, using CAT, it fails with an error "the comm port can't be accessed" and the help popup suggests something else has control of the comm port. wsjtx is closed. i look for processes that might be using comm5; no luck. so i don't know how to release this port. another confusing thing is, i also have omni-rig available and it too does nothing. i'm stuck. i'm so close but so far. can anyone help guide me on this? thanks in advance, 73, tom wa2uvc
