The only thing I find fun about FT8 is watching grid tracker and all the activity back and forth around the world. I would love if varac had the same thing able to happen.

oof, please don't do that. During nice band conditions I enjoy using 2300 :) Off the slots of course.

I understand it not being used in the slots, what if it only allows 2300 during the qsy if the freq isnt in the slot sections? the qsy could be normally 500 as it is now, but if you manually select a freq away from the slots, another option pops up allowing 2300 upon qsy.

that would be cool, like double click the line of text to reply to that specific line...then the program either highlights it on their end or something when reply is received. a quote would be simpler, but longer to send because of the extra bit of text

If we can do it manually within the VarAC program, it should be able to be done by a single button I'd think. Varac would just have to do the disconnection, change to wide, and go into reconnect mode without having to hit buttons, plus if both stations have the same command at once, you'd think the connection would go more smoothly.

oh yeah, this would be great! Now that I'm getting more comfortable with the various freqs available to me as a general, I've recognized that depending on band, my audio either blows the doors off my ALC levels, or is dead silent. I'm always playing with the Tune slider levels upon switching bands. Having a more persistent level on each band would be amazing. I just may have to tweak it every now n then instead of a full reset. When I'm in the grey line, going from 40m to 10m requires quite the amount of fiddling on my end.

It also punched through the tons of QRM from the contesting we had on 20m from FL to AUS earlier. I was pleasantly surprised!

I brought my EFHW to work along with my 6100 to try out the net this morning!

I disabled my pings entirely because I got tired of people pinging me just to work me that way. I got VarAC to chat, not to ft8.
