Hi, Just installed v5.3.1, after clicking on the outbox menu at the top of the screen i got this exception message: Full details:

Hi, Would it be possible to add a QRZ.com lookup option to the 'In QSO with' field. I like to check the QRZ.com page when someone connects to greet him with his name. The option is now available in the beacons list, but sometimes i get connected by stations not yet in my beacon list. Also, instead of opening the QRZ.com page data could be fetched from QRZ.com by the API and display relevant information within VarAC. This avoids having to open a browser page and loose focus from VarAC. Thanks, Regards, Erik

Hi, Would it be possible to exchange the 'CQ Slot Wait' time in addition to the slot. This could then be used to visually mark a CQ beacon as 'expired'. While the 'CQ Slot Wait time' is active the color of the 'Last heard CQ call' could be different or have an other visual marker then when the timer has expired and the other station is probably QSY'ed back to the calling QRG. Hi, When changing the frequency with the left/right arrows in the top left the slot indicator does not change accordingly. It will remain on the slot number chosen when doing the CQ call. Also it would be nice to have the slot number as a pull-down just like the frequency selection so that it is possible to jump to a slot directly without skipping over all slots using the left/right arrows. 73's Erik

Hi, Probably not the most urgent feature, but I'm planning on using VarAC while on the road with a RV / MotorHome. It would be nice if i could connect VarAC to my USB GPS such that the QTH and Locator is automatically updated depending on my current GPS position. I would be more then happy to provide a USB GPS device if desired. 73, Erik

I've setup PinPoint to transmit and receive APRS beacons as described in this forum topic: Every time PinPoint transmits an APRS beacon it shows up as an incoming connection request which of course fails: 08:01:02 - <SENDING BEACON> DE PE1PUX

08:15:26 - NO LUCK. Maybe next time...
08:16:03 - <SENDING BEACON> DE PE1PUX It would be nice if the log just just would mention 'Sending APRS beacon' or as the transmission not originates from VarAC just mention the modem is transmitting due to an other application. This way it would be more clear when an actual incoming connection request has failed. I'm using PinPoint v2 build 201212 and VarAC 3.3.1 Regards, Erik

Hi, I've tried VarAC version v3.3.1 with both CAT and OmniRig. With both options my transceiver does not stop transmitting. So when starting a transmit cycle the transceiver is properly keyed-up, but the PTT is not released and the transceiver keeps in TX mode. Using Winlink or WSJT-X the keying works just fine. edit: I'm using a FTDI TTL serial cable for cat control. For audio I'm using the the XGGComs Digimode-3-Xiegu interface.
