I just want to thank Irad and the rest of the development team for creating VarAC! I have had the great pleasure of enjoying some long QSOs the past few days on 40 and 20 meters. I would like to encouage othes to engage in a QSO from time to time. 73 - Mike - KB0FX

My friend is trying to use a Xiegu G90 on VarAC. We can connect by his radio won't QSY when he accepts my QSY request. The G90 will change bands just fine. I am guessing it has to do with the slot command to change frequency 750 HZ. 73 - Mike - KB0FX

Good Morning! I did some testing this morning with K6KAR on 40 meters. My objective was to send a web Page URL link in a Broadcast. While I was able to send a URL there was no simple way to use the URL for the stations receiving the Broadcast. The only option I am aware of today in the current release (V6.6.13) is to use the Copy All command. However that copies everything in the broadcast including the date and time stamp information. Then paste that into a browser and then remove all the extra data, The ideal solution would be to make it possible to click on the URL link and launcher the browser. Next we tried connecting to each other. I then sent a URL as part of my text. http://kb0fxkiwisdr.hopto.org:8073/ This link was successfully sent and received. However when K6KAR tired to click on the URL he received the following error: Error opening File - The system cannot find the file specified. I believe it would be a nice enhancement to allow URLs to be sent in Broadcasts and Direct Connections and to be able to launch the intended web page directly from that link. I would be happy to test any beta code that is developed for this enhancement. 73 - Mike - KB0FX

Irad - Thanks for organizing the first Broadcast Net on 20 Meters Slot 15! We had a small group participate in the United States. That said it was productive. We did not copy and stations from Europe during the Net. I would like to recommend we try it again next Sunday. 73 - Mike - KB0FX

Good Morning All! Now that we have the Broadcast mode I am wondering if there is a preferred slot to use for Broadcasts? 73 - Mike - KB0FX

I am trying to get the new Broadcast mode to work. I have upgraded to VARA v4.6.5. I can make normal connections and pings with stations. When I try and do a Broadcast to a station I have a good SNR to nothing happens.

I have a friend that just installed VarAC for the first time this morning. He installed V5.1.8. He is using a FTDX-3000. He is using CAT control for PTT & Frequency. He is has VarAC frequency control configured to use Digital_USB. When he sends a beacon his TX shits + 400 HZ. His FTDX-3000 Digital mode is set to PSK. Any idea why his transmissions are 400 HZ high? He has been using FT-8 with no issues for some time. 73 - Mike - KB0FX

Good Morning - Running Version 3.6.5. on Windows 10. Using a FT-847 with OmniRig and a MicroHam USB Interface 3 and the MicroHam USB Router software. VarAc is working great and I am able to make contacts with no issues. All features are working great! That said I get the following message at start up. 'PortName' cannot be set while the port is open. at System.IO.Ports.SerialPort.set_PortName(String value) The start up log is below.
