How do we determine if someone has chosen something other than standard as a CQ call, i'm guessing the under the word TYPE in the heading of the CQ calls log. But i'm unsure, as i'd guess type should read CQ as standard not remain blank. Any ideas as i've set one of mine to CQ QRP, but who knows i'm CQ QRP when i'm calling other than my MW0RUH/QRP callsign. Cheers Dave

When VarAC boots up it switches Radio to RTTY-R using the Cat Frequency controls, Cat selection is set for USB-D. I dropped the supplied INI file for Cat commands into my folder. I Should Add icom 7100 Regards DAVE

Could there be a delay in sending the I'm Away message, such as 10 seconds (just an example). My reasoning behind this is in my case my radio and PC are set up behind me, I sometimes hear the connection being made to me, but the I'm away message is sent before I am able to turn around, cancel it, and respond accordingly, as I'm sometimes available for a QSO. Don't know if this is a bug, pinged a station last night and got a response, however the station remained connected and ack'ing back and forth until I issued the <DISC> command. my understanding was a ping report and that's it. regards DAVE

Hi guys, anybody experience this before? I Went to a friends house today to set up and configure VarAC and Vara-HF for him with omni rig. As we are only a few miles away from each other I set up 28.105 for us to operate on. If I connect to my home station from his, the radios handshake to an extent but won't connect to each other, when his TX stops, mine is already sounding back to him so I'm assuming there is a header to the TX that his radio is missing to allow the connect. If I Make the contact from my station we connect instantly and can carry out a QSO. If he tries to me unable to connect over 15 attempts. All boxes are green in VarAC due to the close proximity with a +06db average, RF signal is S9+ on the radio S-Meter. Omnirig has Poll int., ms set at 500 and Timeout, ms set at 100 in each transmitter. Identical radios (both Icom 7100's). I'm Baffled Regards DAVE

A good feature would be for the software to automatically send the VarAC version in the first connected TX transmission, this would allow operators to know what features are available to them as the software progresses. e.g. I know file transfer was added Beta V3.

Won't say it's a bug, but in dark mode some tabs such as, Connect modem, Disconnect, Abort and Abort CQ are unable to be seen.

Hi Irad, Can we have the ability to clear the Log QSO window similar to the clear Last Heard Beacons and Last Heard CQ Call options. Keep Up the good work. Regards DAVE

Is it possible to have either a manual button reset for both beacon and CQ lists, or an automatic reset programmable by the operator to clear the windows at a set UTC time of their choice. For example:- clear beacon and CQ windows at 00:00UTC or any other time selected by operator. I ask this as I leave VarAC running most of the time and it would be good to clear the windows when I get up in the morning and start a fresh with whom I'm seeing that day. At present it's close and reopen the program.
