IC 7300 not communicating via OMNI RIG

Looked at previous entries and did not find common thread. Re-loaded software to 2.5v and at least now the settings are staying. However VARAC is still not communicating with my IC 7300. Have tried USB and USB-D; High and Low settings. My rig works fine on VARA HF and JS8Call, so I know my laptop connection is ok. Suggestions? Luis KK4ZFT
