I did not have time today to figure out the native 991a Soundcard and continued with the Signalink. Will work some more on that tomorrow. I am transmitting directly through the 991a and using the Signalink for receive only. None of the other Audio Device Inputs do anything. Perhaps I have the 991a set to output through the Data Cable rather than the USB cable. The changes I made were based on the pdf you supplied. I did have the Other Shift at 1500 and Other Disp at 1500. The changes I made were setting 29 and 31 to 38,400. Setting 33 to Disable. And 62 to Others. All other settings I had the same.

I only had a short time at the radio today, but I think I had success. Saw numerous beacons from as far as Switzerland and Italy and one CQ. Since I only had a short time, I did not attempt to contact the CQ. Will try QSO tomorrow. Thank you.

The Monitor mode is not a separate instance, I just clicked the monitor to "On" so I could see what I could see, perhaps that is one of my mistakes. It is not a separate instance. The crazy thing is I believe the Signalink is being used to receive but I am transmitting directly through the 991a. I know this is not ideal but I had given up trying to get digital modes to work with only the 991a and Signalink worked so I just stopped making changes. I used a number of guides that said they worked with 991a but nothing did for me until I set up the Signalink. I just looked at my menu settings in my Menu Editor and both 64 and 64 are set to 0hz. The default. Tomorrow I will get back to my radio and change those settings to 1,500. I will look at the other settings again as well. Thank you for your help.

I am running a FT-991a with a Signalink. It works well with WSJT-x and Winlink VARA-HF. I had never been able to use only the 991a for digital and found it easier to use the Signalink. The few lines that were decoded were using USB mode. On the waterfall there is a wide signal. When placed in D-U mode there is a thinner signal off to the side on the waterfall with the red lines just barely touching and nothing ever gets decoded. I cannot be at the radio again until tomorrow. The second screenshot was to show the soundcard settings that I also use for Winlink Vara HF. Thank you to everyone for their help. Joseph

I had 14.105 and I tried calling CQ. I think that may have added the .70. But for whatever reason I am now getting some results on monitoring. I see PD3V but very little. Should I be using USB or USB Data as the mode?
