When using Broadcast - selecting ALL vs a call. When addressed to a call, is the difference that the call hears the ding and not everyone? But, that all still copy just not notified? I'm not sure I see the reason for ALL vs CALL. I think this mode should be copy by ALL.

When using the new "Broadcast" feature, are we able to rx partial decodes? So far, all my reception of these transmissions has been 100% copy. I hope we are able to capture partial decodes, too.

I was left a Vmail by W4OSS, so I posted a reply for pickup. After a couple weeks he had not picked up the reply. I deleted the reply because it became dated. Now, when W4OSS beacons, my system continues to send W4OSS notifications that he has Vmail. Of course, when he connects to me, he has no Vmail. My system continues to send W4OSS notices that he has Vmail. It's like the movie Ground Hog Day.

I know I have seen it somewhere, but now can't find it - What is the list of frequencies for the Slots?

The incident of failure to load/send "I'm Away" is still high in 3.8.8 Not sure if that was fixed or on a future to-do list.

Are blocked stations still spotted in PSK Map? You can still see them in the VARA Commands. At what point is a station reported as heard to PSK Map?

I am not sure the use of the modem disconnect button. That said, maybe consider making the modem disconnect button behavior relinquish all control of the modem and radio (CAT & PTT); such as to allow temporary use of Winlink without closing VarAC.

I don't know if this is a bug, but the frequency tracking has stopped working for me. When v3.7.9 came out, I check the box to turn it on. I thought it odd that once the box was checked, it turned grey and can no longer be changed. It worked though. I noticed today, the frequency tracking simply doesn't work. All of the rest of VarAC works as it should.

I have noticed for some time that my "I'm Away" message fails to load and send frequently, even though "I'm Away" is checked and set in status. I first noticed it in v3.6.6, but can't say when it started. Someone will connect and I expect the away message to send, but the message isn't queued. There must be some condition I am missing? When it fails the connection times out or the other party is left going "Hello, hello ... how are you? Are you there?".

Would it be possible to add up/down arrows to the canned messages in settings to allow re-ordering canned messages 1-8?

This is a question about how the Block list works first. When a call is put on the Block list, does the list also aid YOU to not accidently contact that call again? If not, I'd like to request that when I block someone, it also blocks me from accidently contacting that call in the future. I had my first rude encounter this evening on VarAC. When I disconnected with "Great QSO. 73 de W4HTP Disconnecting... <DISC>", the guy called back and started ranting that it was rude to use <DISC> in my 73. I just disconnected at that point. He was upset that I had Ping'd him and said this isn't FT8. I don't think he yet understands how VarAC works. Please make the Block list bi-directional, so I don't have to compile a list of "do not contact" on a white board. ;) Thanks

Once connected to a station, sometimes conditions deteriorate. I like using LH Peeking. In the middle of a LHR, the conditions may dropout and the transfer slow dramatically or the connection eventually lost. Is it possible that once a LHR is initiated, to change the "LH Peeking" button to a "LHR Cancel" and terminate a LHR once the transfer has started - "cancel" between blocks sent? Also, might the LHR list length be determinable by one side or the other - maybe the requester, where I request only the last 3 or so entries and maybe define which list or both - like Beacon list only? It's interesting to see the current length of list, but I find beyond 3-5 calls the list is stale for use to contact unheard stations - which is how I use LHR. It seems the LHR list is currently about 300 characters or 8 stations? Sometimes connection quality will cause the list to take 10-12 minutes to send. I don't know if the list length might be adjusted dynamically according to transfer rate? Being this is many times an unattended transfer from a Beacon station, there is no opportunity to QSY. Thank you in advance. Ask questions if my intent isn't clear.

In some past versions, you would see how many times a station Beaconed or CQ'd in the LH lists. I understand cleaning up the lists, only showing the most recent. A feature I'd like to see is that if you right-click on a LH entry, an option to display the Beacon or CQ session history of a given call. I see this information as helpful. The time/date history of stations, with the SNR, can lead to conclusions of propagation, favorite schedules or other data driven enjoyment of VarAC.

I'd like to suggest a + (add) that can be used to add certain call signs to a favorites pulldown. This list could be edited in the program settings. The pulldown would populate the Connect/Ping box, like the most-recent list does now - except Most Recent is dynamic, doesn't retain. I contact the same calls regularly in VarAC, even if I don't hear them in the LH lists. I was just thinking it would be nice to have those frequent contacts more readily available.

I am sure this has maybe been discussed, but we need a way to sidebar chat while files are being sent. Maybe even a way to QSY during chats to a different "file transfer frequency" area to enable 2300 during file transfers, if the participants have the ability.

I enjoy using the LHR function to visualize in my head VarAC propagation and to attempt contact with stations others hear but I may not. Surprisingly, I am often able to Ping or convo with stations from other's LH list that my station didn't record. I find LHR and Ping to be two of the most useful features in VarAC, that have greater application. I also glean call signs from watching the VARA monitor, but am not sure this is useful to the subject of this discussion. I can Ping or convo these calls signs, too - because I see them chatting. I'm not a programmer, but I'd like to see an app that can take my LH Beacon, LH CQ and the LHR from others to allow manipulation and plotting on a Google or Bing map by Locator. There may be other opportunities to use this mined data to make us betters hams, predict or trend band propagation and to better our contact ratio through an understanding of VarAC propagation. This isn't a Feature, which is why I started a discussion.
